Director Alex Cox’s classic tale of doomed punk love Sid & Nancy is getting a very special 30th Anniversary re-release, and we a pair of tickets to give away to the exclusive cinema launch at London’s legendary Screen On The Green  on Monday 29 August.

Starring Gary Oldman as Sid Vicious and Chloe Webb as Nancy Spungen, the film has been newly restored, supervised by award-winning cinematogropher Roger Deakins.

The film is being released in a new DVD/Blu-ray special edition on the same day on Studiocanal’s Vintage Classics label. Extras include new interviews with Cox, Deakins and legendary filmmaker, musician and DJ, Don Letts.

The Screen On The Green launch takes place on the 40th Anniversary of the infamous Midnight Special showcase at the same venue in 1976, that featured sets from the SEX PISTOLS, THE CLASH and THE BUZZCOCKS. The launch will also feature a screening of Kennth Anger’s Scorpio Rising, which was also shown that night, plus a DJ set from Letts. Tickets for the launch are available here.

To win a pair of tickets to the launch, just email with ‘SID & NANCY COMPETITION’  in the subject box, and we’ll pick a winner at random. Good luck!!
