U.S. RELEASE FOR NEUROTICS TRIUMPH!

Essex punk legends the NEWTOWN NEUROTICS are to have their acclaimed live album Triumph Over Adversity given a full US release through new punk label Violated Records.

The album, which documents the band’s celebrated April ’87 show at Uxbridge’s Brunel University, was initially released during the summer on their own Cruel Binary label via the band’s website. It will be the debut release for Violated, a subsidiary of Philadelphia’s Creep Records, and hits the streets on Friday 20 November.

Says band frontman Steve Drewett: “We are really pleased the way this album is taking off, of course we were confident it would do well, because the special quality of this remarkable live recording was indicating that it was going to create waves.  Now it is to be released in the States we are confident that the album’s success has only really just begun.”

Although marred by sadness at the death in May of original bassist Colin Dredd, 2015 has seen the band’s profile become higher than ever, with gigs in the UK and Ireland, including a performance at the Rebellion Festival. A return to Rebellion in 2016 is already confirmed with the band planning more UK shows and hopefully recording new material.
