SEX PISTOLS guitarist STEVE JONES has announced the publication of his autobiography.

Lonely Boy,  described as a “modern Dickensian tale”, recalls Jones’ West London youth, engaged in petty thievery before being inspired into music , like so many, by Bowie and Roxy Music, recruited by Malcolm McLaren to a life of fame and notoriety with the Pistols.

For the first time, Jones recalls the sadness of not knowing his father, the abuse he suffered from his stepfather, redemption through his musical career including, the highs and lows of the Pistols and subsequently THE PROFESSIONALS, ill-fated all-star band CHEQUERED PAST, his solo career and various collaborations, his self-imposed exile in the U.S. and his battles with alcohol, heroin and sex addiction.

Written in collaboration with music journalist Ben Thompson, Lonely Boy is set to be published in hardback and e-book by William Heinemann on 17 November, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the release of ‘Anarchy In The U.K.’. Pre-order the book through Amazon.
