Australian punk iconoclasts THE SCIENTISTS have announced a one-off date in London this summer!

They play The Lexington, Pentonville Road, London on Saturday 25 June.  The show is one of a series of international dates celebrating the reissue of the band’s back catalogue by The Numero Group.

Formed in Perth in 1978 and fronted by guitarist-singer Kim Salmon, The Scientists did much to impact the underground music landscape, both in their homeland and internationally, with a flexible line-up and an ever evolving sound, something Salmon has continued to do with his various projects over the ensuing years. The band hit their peak in the U.K. while resident here in the mid 80s, supporting the likes of THE GUN CLUB  and SISTERS OF MERCY.

The Scientists last played the U.K. in the mid-noughties: in 2006 at the behest of MUDHONEY, which resulted in the classic Sedition live album, and then again the following year, appearing at ATP and the Spitz Festival Of The Blues.

The line-up for the Lexington show will include Salmon, guitarist Tony Thewlis, bassist Boris Sujdovic and drummer Robert Coyne.  Tickets for the show priced £15 are available here.
