Vive Le Rock is extremely saddened to learn that Nick Marsh of Flesh For Lulu and Urban Voodoo Machine has passed away following surgery for cancer. A statement from the Urban Voodoo Machine reads as follows….

“Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with tremendously heavy hearts that we must announce that our dear brother Nick Marsh lost his courageous battle with cancer this morning. As you can imagine The Urban Voodoo Machine and it’s entire extended family are deeply saddened and reeling at this sudden and horrible news. Our immediate thoughts go out to Nicks family, most especially his partner Katharine Blake and their daughters Ava and Rosa.

A full tribute will follow on, in the meantime should you wish to send messages of the support to Katharine and the girls please do so by visiting the Marsh Family Cancer Crisis Fund page at and perhaps leave a small donation whilst you are there.

The Urban Voodoo Machine”

Marsh formed Flesh For Lulu in South London in 1982, going on to achieve hits in the USA with ‘Postcards From  Paradise’ and ‘I Go Crazy’. After a brief solo career, he became an integral part of Urban Voodoo Machine and recently launched a new Flesh For Lulu.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and many fans.

Such a wonderfully talented man. Blessings of love and light to all who knew and knew of him.
