Not-for-profit community interest company WHERE ART THE WOMEN? is staging a new mini-fest in Staffordshire this weekend.

Taking place on the campsite at The Haberdasher’s Arms in Knighton over 22-24 July, the event will feature live sets from the ‘female-heavy’ acts likes of HAGAR THE WOMB (pictured), THE MENSTRUAL CRAMPS, IDESTROY, CAROL HODGE BAND, COSMIC NINJA, HEADSTICKS, JANINE BOOTH, FOSSILHEADS and more.

The dog- and child-friendly festival will also feature craft stalls, vegan food traders, a firepit for late night jamming, real ales and ciders and various other attractions…

Where Art The Women? aims to highlight, challenge and help address the gender imbalance on stages in the UK independent music scene with a collaborative mix of art, music, spoken word, film, workshops, discussion and information.

Tickets are on sale here. Kids go FREE!!

This looks like an awesome line-up and festival! So good to see this issue being addressed in such a creative manner. I hope there are more of these type of events in the future!
