MOTORHEAD WORK THEIR MAGIC

MOTORHEAD have announced the release of their twenty-second studio album for this, their 40th Anniversary year. And they’re supporting the release with extensive US and European touring during the second half of the year. Proof, if any were needed that, despite Lemmy’s recent health wobbles, they’re not quite ready to bow out gracefully.

Bad Magic was written, worked up and recorded by Leemy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee in the studio – a first for this line-up of the band – and produced by longtime producer Cameron Webb. It features thirteen tracks including the ballad ‘Until The End’ – a musical departure that the old warhorse has proved himself surprisingly good at in the past – and a boneshaking delivery of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Sympathy For The Devil’.

Bad Magic is released via UDR Music / Motorhead Records on 28 August.

From mid-August, the band will embark on a North American tour with Anthrax, ending with their now legendary Motorboat cruise, before heading for Europe. The only UK date currently on the horizon is Glastonbury on 24 June and the Eden Project on 27 June. More dates are set to be added so keep an eye on the band’s website.
