Aussie legends HOODOO GURUS have snuck out a brand new single just in time for Christmas!

Arguably the most commercially successful of the early-80s garage explosion, Sydney’s Gurus dropped the single ‘Answered Prayers’ to streaming platforms on Friday 13 December.

The band’s first new music since 2014’s Gravy Train EP, it’s also the first release to feature ex-Celibate Rifles and Radio Birdman drummer Nik Rieth, who replaced longtime sticks-man Mark Kingsmill in 2015.

The band recently completed a short Spanish tour, for which they were joined each night for encores by Keith Streng from NYC’s Fleshtones.

The band are set to tour the US in Autumn 2020, but there’s no news yet of UK shows or a new album. The band’s last full length was 2010’s Purity Of Essence.
