GOOD NEWS AND BAD!

Legendary rockers BAD NEWS are to have their albums and films reissued this month.

The UK four-piece came to prominence in the mid-80s when they were the subject of a fly-on-the-wall documentary on Channel 4. Propelled to fame, their debut album was produced by Brian May and they went on to appear at the Reading Festival and at Monsters Of Rock at Castle Donington.

The original film, Bad News Tour, from the makers of The Comic Strip Presents… series, and starring Ade Edmondson, Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer and Peter Richardson was followed by a sequel, More Bad News, in 1988.

Both films are being reissued on double-disc DVD through Gonzo on 25 October.

The band’s three albums Bad News, Bootleg and Almost Rare are also being reissued as vinyl only editions.

DVDs and albums are available to pre-order here.

To celebrate the reissues, both films will received a special London screening at The Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square on Friday 25 October. It will be followed by a Q&A with director Peter Richardson and a signing at Fopp Records, Covent Garden. Full details here.
