'Johnny Foreigner' is the band's riposte to all the xenophobia that's been stinking up the place over the past couple of years. Says frontman Paul-Ronney Angel, "I've lived in the UK for over 27 years now and it's very much home, but now everything is under threat - let's see if they'll let me stay!"
The single is set for release this Friday 11 October, on the same day as a new compilation album, The Urban Voodoo Machine's Friends And Family Album Vol 1, which features 15 bands and artists covering the UVM's songs, including WILKO JOHNSON, JIM JONES, BIG BOY BLOATER, THE GREAT MALARKEY, T.V. SMITH, THE FUTURE SHAPE OF SOUND and more...
The release date also conveniently coincides with the 13th Birthday Party of their infamous Gypsy Hotel night, which they're celebrating at Nambucca, Holloway alongside the Future Shape Of Sound, The Great Malarkey and more. Tickets are on sale here.
