Brit powerpop princes THE SPEEDWAYS are back with their second new video in a matter of weeks!
'A Drop In The Ocean' is the second track on a new double A-side single, also featuring the song 'Shoulda Known', the video for which was revealed a few weeks ago.
Their latest celluloid opus was shot by Jez Leather, in a perhaps unintentional homage to Hanoi Rocks, in Tooting Bec, south-west London.
Both tracks feature on the band's long-awaited forthcoming third album Talk Of The Town, which sees the band branching out from their regular powerpop palette. “We wanted to go for a more cinematic / widescreen sound, for this to be a game-changer in the powerpop world,” says guitarist Mauro Venegas.
“We threw the kitchen sink dramas at this one," adds singer/guitarist Matt Julian. "And turned up the guitars!”
'A Drop In The Ocean' and 'Shoulda Known' are both available digitally from today on all the usual platforms. A limited edition 7" is available to pre-order here.
