MEMBERS mainstay J.C. CARROLL straps on an accordion for a new album with his roots and folk band THE WISE MONKEYS.
Formed thirty-three years ago, the Monkeys also currently feature violin and didgeridoo player Elliet Mackrel, Members drummer Nick Cash and guitarist/mandolinist Steve Grocott from The Drones, and are no slouches when it comes to tangos, two-steps, waltzes, jigs and murder ballads.
Carroll is no stranger to the accordion, an instrument he first picked up in 1985. Since then he has played it with Johnny Thunders and Sinead O'Connor, and on the soundtracks to no fewer than six Julian Temple films plus Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando movies.
Set for release on 29 July, the album This Is Our Recorded is preceded by a video for the brilliantly-named autobiographical Chuck Berry-inspired Cajun romp, 'Vive Le Rock'...
