THE DAMNED and LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH guitar legend BRIAN JAMES lands in London this week for a super-rare show.
A dymamic presence on London stages since the early 70s, James helped turn the global music scene upside down when he penned 'New Rose' for The Damned, the UK's first ever punk single!
He went on to achieve Stateside success alongside former DEAD BOYS frontman Stiv Bators in The Lords Of The New Church. Between times he put together Tanz Der Youth, Hellions and Brian James' Brains, a breeding ground for the future foot soldiers of punk rock.
Along the way he's shared stages with the great and the good of punk history, as sideman for IGGY POP and one quarter of Transatalantic supergroup MAD FOR THE RACKET with Wayne Kramer, Clem Burke and Duff McKagan.
Brian's recent solo album The Guitar That Dripped Blood was a stunning return to form that saw the great man back in the public eye once again. He doesn't play that often - this is his first London show in more than a year - so his show at the legendary 100 Club on Friday 23 August is definitely not to be missed!
Support comes from the UK's No.1 glam punk seditionists THE DeRELLAS and happening hotwired rock'n'rollers ELECTRICS, with legendary DJ Cruel Valentino spinning the punk-rock platters between the bands!
