Pub rock legend BRINSLEY SCHWARZ has unveiled a new video as a taster for his forthcoming new solo album.
'You Drive Me To Drink' is the second single from Tangled, following on from 'Storm In The Hills' at the start of the year. The new album comes five years after his unexpected debut solo album Unexpected.
Schwarz, along with Nick Lowe, was a founder member of the pub rock pioneers of the same name who, following a disastrous hype involving flying a 'plane-load of journalists to New York to see them play a support slot at the Fillmore East, built a bridgehead on the London pub scene and beyond, arguably paving the way for punk.
When the band split, Schwarz briefly joined Ducks Deluxe before co-founding The Rumour to back newcomer Graham Parker. Continuing to work with Parker over the years, he's produced and played with numerous other artists such as Desmond Dekker, Dr Feelgood, Rachel Sweet, Kirsty MacColl and Pointed Sticks.
'You Drive Me To Drink' is available to stream/download here.
Tangled is out on 3 September through Fretsore Records.
