Veteran punks RESISTANCE 77 celebrates more than four decades of punk history with their new video which they're premiering exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
'Punk's Not Dead But I'm Not Far Off' is a rabble-rousing anthem for those that have stayed the course, celebrating the Facebook group of the same name and referencing numerous punk classics, and the video, by Stuart Sterling, features cameos from various friends and acquaintances from the band's illustrious forty-year career.
"We have built up a good friendship and working relationship with Stuart Sterling who is working on a video documentary about R77 to celebrate our 40th year as a band next year," they say. "So it was a natural choice to involve him with shooting a video to the song. The icing on the cake came when the friends that we have in other bands agreed to guest on the video and we are honoured to have them support us in our venture."
The band have had a busy couple of years, with appearances at the Punk Rock Bowling and Crash festivals in the US and their NINETEENTH!!! consecutive appearance at Rebellion this summer. With gigs in Scotland and Belgium planned for the rest of the year, they're also looking to complete a new album for 2020.
