SoCal punk vets OFF! return with a freaky new sci-fi video and news of a brand new album.
'War Above Los Angeles' is the first single to be taken from FREE LSD, the band's first new album in eight years.
The album is the first to feature founder members Keith Morris (Black Flag, Cercle Jerks) and Dimitri Coats plus bassist Autry Fulbright II (…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead) and drummer Justin Brown (Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Herbie Hancock). It's due out through Fat Possum on 30 September.
The video for 'War Above Los Angeles', featuring cameos from David Yow (Jesus Lizard), Don Nguyn, Chloe Dykstra, James Duval, D.H. Peligro (Dead Kennedys), is a first taste of the band's forthcoming feature film FREE LSD, to accompany the release of the album.
“Since thinking of the album as a soundtrack to a weird sci-fi movie gave us permission to experiment, and the film explains, in a fantastical way, the creation of the album, they both go hand in hand as an overall art project,” explains Coats.
