OBSCURE AUSSIES UNEARTHED!

Seminal Aussie rockers THE 31ST have their fabled 4-track EP released at last.
Formed in Brisbane in 1979, The 31st brought together four musicians who would all go on to make a much bigger dent the the Australian rock and punk scenes of the 80s and 90s. Vocalist Ron Peno and Chris Welsh would go on to form major label international chart stars DIED PRETTY; guitarist Mick Medew would enjoy a lengthy career with THE SCREAMING TRIBESMEN, and bassist Tony Robertson would later hold down the low end in legendary bands THE NEW CHRISTS and THE HITMEN.
Two songs written by Peno and Medew - 'Igloo' and 'A Stand Alone' - would, in the hands of the Tribesmen, become card-carrying Aussie garage classics.
Alongside 'Time Moves Fast', previously included on the 2007 compilation Do The Pop! Redux Part One, and 'Real Gone', which surfaced on Easy Action's Let Me Turn You On in 2013, the EP also includes the original of 'A Stand Alone' and 'It's So Hard', both previously unreleased.
Presented by Zeus Entertainment Group and digitally distributed by Laneway Music, the EP is available to download now from iTunes and other digital stockists.
A 12" vinyl edition is set to follow through LCMR.
