Fast-rising Aussie powerpoppers RINEHEARTS have a new video which they're premiering exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
Fizzing with irresistible pop energy, jangling guitars and tub-thumping drums, 'Powerlines' is drawn from the Perth trio's forthcoming second album Full Bloom, which is set for release through Cheersquad Records & Tapes.
The album was produced by Aussie powerpop maven Dom Mariani (Stems, Someloves, DM3, etc) who says, “Rinehearts are that rare band that you come across from time to time, doing their thing without a lot of fuss but with a true dedication and knack for crafting perfect pop. ‘Powerlines’ is just a taster of what is about come.”
The band are set to support Hoodoo Gurus in Perth next month, and have recently been opening for the revitalised Hard-Ons, whose bassist Ray Ahn enthused, "I was struck by how beautiful the Rinehearts tunes are. All the members of the Hard-ons were, when we played with them recently. We are suckers for melody. There is something uplifting about great pop music. Rinehearts' sound is simple and sophisticated at the same time. It's wondrously catchy and well played. That is very hard to do."
Formed in 2016, Rinehearts include guitarist/singer Ben Ward and bassist Mitch Long, both formerly of the Deniz Tek-endorsed Screwtop Detonators and drummer Ross Di Blasio of Snowman, who toured with the likes of The Drones and Wolfmother. Their debut self-titled EP was released in 2016 by UK label No Front Teeth followed by Can't Do Nothing, their debut album for Cheersquad in 2019.
