THE IMBECILES have unveiled another new single ahead of their dates with KILLING JOKE.
'You're Gonna Wanna' is the second single from forthcoming album Imbecilica, which was recorded with KJ bassist Youth, at his studio in southern Spain.
“'You’re Gonna Wanna' is The Imbeciles’ 'Shiny Happy People', if you will (or if you won’t),” states band founder and guitarist Butch Dante. “We wanted to give people a break from the absolutely shit show that is the world today. The lyrics are what you’d get if one of the c**ts who wrote those 'live life love laugh' posters took a handful of dexys and did a song with a garage band. And the video reflects that. It’s a celebration of all cultures, all religions. Frankly, I think we fucking nailed it.”
Imbecilica is released through Cadiz Music on 20 May. Pre-order it here.
