Powerpop legends THE RUBINOOS return to the UK for dates in the New Year.
The Berkeley, Ca quartet recently released From Home, their first new album in four years. Produced by and co-written with Chuck Prophet, it's widely considered to be a return to powerpop match-fitness.
Formed in 1970, The Rubinoos were one of the first bands on the Bezerkley label, hitting their stride in the late 70s with their self-titled debut album and its follow-up Back To The Drawing Board. Their cover of Tommy James & The Shondells 'I Think We're Alone Now' and their own 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' are revered in powerpop circles.
Now back in their 1980 configuration of John Rubin, Tommy Dunbar, Donn Spindt and Al Chan, the band hit the UK in January for three dates. Catch them at...
