Fast-rising Cornish psych-rockers HANTERHIR have a new video and single, which they're premiering exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
'Hello Sunshine' is a substantially edited version of the monumental opening track from their widely acclaimed new triple album The Saving Of Cadan, released last month through Easy Action Records. The video is the work of renowned Cornish new wave film director Mawgan Lewis.
The single is available now from iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.
"'Hello Sunshine' was the first song we wrote for the album that was originally going to be 10 songs on a 10 inch played by 10 people with only 10 copies printed," explains band frontman Ben Harris. "Somehow, writing an almost 10 minute song gave us the hint that we were never going to fit all the songs on that format.
"We filmed 'Hello Sunshine' with Mawgan from Purple Knif in a 30 degree village hall that my first ever band rehearsed in. It hadn't changed much, and possibly hadn't been painted since I was last in there."
The band are playing a series of dates throughout the late summer and autumn, including a rare London show at The Victoria in Dalston with special guests THE BRAINIAC 5, legends of the 70s Cornish free festival scene.
Full dates are...
20 Sept – The Old Bakery, Truro (w/ Dom Duff) tickets
28 Sept – Harvest Gathering Festival, Newquay tickets
21 Oct – The Sussex Arms, Tunbridge Wells
22 Oct – The Victoria, Dalston, London tickets
