'Old Rebel' is taken from Teenage Hallelujah which is due for release via Cornelius Chapel Records next Spring. It's their first release since the Sunsphere EP two years ago.
Fusing Southern rock with garage punk, The Dexateens were formed by guitarist Elliott McPherson in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, releasing their debut album on Estrus Records in 2004. Mid-period releases saw them indulging in mellower alt.country fare, but recent reports have found them very much back on scorching form.
Guitarist Lee Bains III has since formed LEE BAINS III & THE GLORY FIRES, while bassist Matt Patton has been shared with DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS.
