Long-serving Jarrow punks CRASHED OUT have a brand new video, which they're premiering exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
The work of film-maker Stuart Sterling, the video features the song 'Still A Fighter' from the band's 2005 album Crash And Burn. Stuart takes up the story...
"I first saw Crashed Out years ago at Rebellion. I later Googled them and came across their YouTube channel where I saw the original 'Still A Fighter' video. I immediately fell in love with the song and think it is one of their best. I saw them a few more times at The Star & Garter and Rebellion. But it was not until I saw Crashed Out at North West Calling in Manchester in 2019 when I finally got the chance to approach them. I saw Chris [Wright, frontman] standing alone at the bar, so... I went up to him, introduced myself, told him what I do, how I would like to work with them and gave Chris my card. I was not sure whether I would hear from Chris again, but a few days later he got in contact. Chris said he had seen my work, and was really impressed with the official music video I had made for Discharge, 'The Broken Law', which for me was my best to date. Chris said he wanted to make a music video with me and not only that, he wanted to do 'Still A Fighter'! Of all the songs he could have chosen, he chose my favourite!"
"Stuart sent me a story line and location ideas so I scouted out two local boxing gyms to shoot the boxing scenes and Newcastle Uni for the band scenes," explains Chris. "Everything was done in one long exhausting day! Anyway here’s the final result of the video we are very happy with what Stu has done I am sure a lot of people will also enjoy the video and song."
