Any West Ham fans out there?
Lifelong Irons fans THE COCKNEY REJECTS have recorded a new single to mark their club's departure from their Upton Park ground, the East London team's home since 1904. The single 'Goodbye Upton Park' is due for release through Cadiz Music on Tuesday 10 May, the date of West Ham's last home game at the ground, where the band will perform prior to kick-off.
The Rejects are currently enjoying a boost in profile since their late-70s heyday, thanks in part to the success of the documentary film East End Babylon. Recently reuniting with former bassist Vinnie Riordan, following the tragic death of Tony Van Frater, the band have just played two sell-out shows at the 100 Club, with festival dates lined up for the summer, including Bearded Theory, Northwest Calling and Rebellion.
