Essex duo TUPPENNY BUNTERS have announced a string of dates for the autumn.
Familiar to many as the hosts of renowned Southend-on-Sea music venue The Railway Hotel, Fi and Dave Dulake have taken time out from the day-to-day running of the pub to concentrate on their long-running musical project.
Fi and Dave have been playing together since 2005, when their four-piece band THE VIRGO INTACTA was personally chosen by Jack White to open for THE WHITE STRIPES on several UK dates. Since then, they've been involved with various projects, with Dave adding his talents to releases by the likes of THE PHROGS, HOWLING BLACK SOUL and STIV CANTARELLI & THE SILENT STRANGERS.
Both accomplished drummers and keyboard-players, the pair trade instruments frequently within a set, combining "trashy Moon-style drums behind an amped-up honky-tonk piano. A mercurial performance from two songwriters with up-front tunes that take in music hall, 60s pop, early prog, punk and garage."
