Birmingham glam-punk legends GUNFIRE DANCE are to have their first ever vinyl album released, seventeen years after they last played a gig.
Formed in the mid-80s, the quartet rose to prominence on the UK glam and sleaze scene, but were altogether darker and punkier than the Hanoi Rocks and Guns N' Roses imitators that were plying the circuit at the time.
Regulars at London's Marquee, they made it as far as the US, where they played NYC's iconic CBGB's and released a single 'Suit And Tie', produced by Brian James and Rat Scabies, through Jeff Dahl's Ultra Under label. Along the way they share stages with the likes of Jayne County, Lords Of The New Church, Thee Hypnotics, Dogs D'Amour, D Generation, NY Loose, The Throbs and more. Having played a handful of reunion gigs in 2005, frontman Ant tragically took his own life the following year. Guitarist Jeff Ward resurfaced in NYC's Electrajets while bassist Darren 'Rockin' Ray' Birch played in The Godfathers and formed The Black Bombers.
The 12-track Witness To The Crime features 'Suit And Tie' along with three other Scabies/James-produced tracks as well as tracks from their Killing Time EP and five others.
Set for release on 11 November through Easy Action, it's available to pre-order here.
