Jesse Malin returns to the UK for a May tour and releases a new single, 'Turn Up The Mains' from his forthcoming new album New York Before The War on 18th May. Jesse describes the song as "a 'fuck you' anthem to blow away all the things we are hit with on a daily basis to make room for something better. Sometimes celebrations can be fueled by anger and anxiety."
The new album New York Before the War features contributions from Peter Buck, Craig Finn, Wayne Kramer and J. Mascis. It is released via One Little Indian on 30th March.

Arriving almost five years on from his last record (2010's Love It to Life), Jesse's artistic ambitions for New York Before the War, were high: he knew he had to make it count. "I wanted to make a record that encompassed everything I've done, and I wanted to challenge myself sonically and rhythmically. I also wanted to create a soundtrack to battle these apathetic times."
