BOOZE & GLORY SIGN TO BURNING HEART

BOOZE & GLORY SIGN TO BURNING HEART

Burning Heart Records have announced the signing of Londoners BOOZE & GLORY.
True to their roots, and happy to be back where they belong, Burning Heart present a great growing and ambitious street punk band to join the roster.
Booze & Glory is in fact the second 'Hammers' band on Burning Heart. It's pretty funny that the band actually recorded a song called 'Back Where We Belong', together with Mickey Fitz (The Business, ex-Burning Heart band). With that heartfelt and powerful slogan in mind, Burning Heart happily welcome these very international Londoners to their roster.
The Booze & Glory boys are currently touring the West Coast in the USA, and will soon also head over to South America. A few other festivals this summer will follow, including REBELLION and Back To The Future.
The band recently released a couple of new songs - 'Blood From A Stone' and 'Carry On' - that show the direction they are heading. Summer and autumn will now, apart from a few festival appearances, be spent writing and laying down songs for a new album to come out on Burning Heart in early 2017.
Vive Le Rock caught up with Booze & Glory while on tour in the US to talk about their new label and the future.
So Booze and Glory are in America right now. Hows your US tour going?
“So far, so good. We are playing six shows across the West Coast. So far we have played Long Beach, Pomona and San Diego with San Fransisco, Portland and Seattle up next. We played the US on the East Coast last year but this is our first time in California. We have a couple of days off before we hit San Fran and we've already all been tattooed, fired shot guns and ridden Harley Davidsons! We've met so many great people from all over the US and Mexico. Tomorrow we are going to be filming in Alcatraz Prison and visiting our mates at Pirates Press.”
And you have some big news to tell us about. We heard you have just signed to a pretty legendary Swedish record label!
“Yes, this label needs no introduction, just mention TURBONEGRO, THE HIVES, MILLENCOLIN and recently GIUDA. After years of partnership with Epitaph Records, Burning Heart Records are coming back with amazing new ideas and bands and we are really excited to announce that we have just joined them. We have signed a contract for the next two albums.”
When can we expect the new album and what are the songs sounding like right now? Any changes from your last album?
“It's early days yet as we are still in the writing process at the moment, but if you have heard the latest singles 'Carry On' and 'Blood From A Stone', you will have good idea of what to expect. One thing we can promise is that it will be the best Booze & Glory album yet. We will be recording after the summer and will be released early 2017.”
The UK hasn't seen enough of Booze & Glory lately. When can we expect a UK tour and more shows?
“Yes we know, and this will change next year for sure. We have not been playing in the UK a lot and, to be honest, there's no reason behind it. There's many places we have not played and there's not enough time in the year. We are playing Rebellion Festival in Blackpool though and planning our annual London show by the end of this year hopefully.”
