Revitalised roots-punks SATELLITE INN are to play their first ever UK shows this week in support of their recently released comeback album.
Formed in the east-coast Italian town of Forli in the mid-90s, the band were snapped up by Whiskeytown's old label MoodFood at the height of alt.country, touring the States with the likes of Richmond Fontaine, Willard Grant Conspiracy, Califone and Marah.
The band broke up in the Noughties, with singer/guitarist/songwriter Stive Cantarelli going on to tour with Bob Mould, later forming Hound Gawd-signed blues-plunks JD Hangover and producing Smalltown Tigers, and supporting the likes of The Scientists, Miraculous Mule and Left-Lane Cruiser.
Reconvening to release a widely acclaimed third album earlier this year, the band now play four UK shows, including two London dates, this week. Full dates are...
Wed 27 Nov – What’s Cookin’, Leytonstone Social Club, London
Thurs 28 Nov – Craftwork, Southend-on-Sea
Fri 29 Nov – Le Pub, Newport
