Reclusive French punks ZERO GAIN have announced the release of a brand new album.
Taking their name from a track by 90s UKHC band Exit Condition, the Saint-Étienne quartet have zero social media presence but turned heads back in 2018 with the album Modern Blues - The First Five Years, which compiled songs from the releases Slow Thinking and Another Soundtrack To The Social War plus their split mini-album with the band Torino, Pure Panther Piss, leading to a feature in Vive Le Rock!
Featuring eleven new tracks, Empires Have No Borders, They Have Fronts, was recorded by the band in their rehearsal room in little more than a weekend with guitarist Junior manning the desk.
The cover illustration is the work of Rotterdam punk/squat veteran Johannes van de Weert, former frontman of The Ex and De Rondos and creator of the 'Redrat' comic-strip character.
Released as a co-production of the labels Tranzophobia, Nineteen Something, Bad Health, La Tête Dans Le Guidon and Senseless Acts Of Anger, Empires Have No Borders, They Have Fronts is available on vinyl here and digitally here.
