CA-based record label Moonlight Graham Records and its first release – a brand new full-length recording by the legendary duo of John Doe and Exene Cervenka of the seminal L.A. punk band, X. Singing And Playing will be released on April 10th. Singing And Playing offers 8 acoustic tracks that were originally recorded with producer Dave Way in 2010 and were previously only available on CD to fans that attended John and Exene's series of Singing & Playing shows performed that summer. The record showcases the duo’s signature harmonic style and tradition of crafting thoughtful and socially conscious lyrics layered over a simple backdrop of folk-inspired acoustic and electric rhythm guitar John Doe and Exene will perform a special FREE show to celebrate their album’s release at Amoeba Records in San Francisco on Tuesday April 10th at 6:00pm.
