Phil Stongman's excellent doc Anarchy! The McLaren Westwood Gang was one of the highlights of last year's Punk At The BFI season.
It's now available as a deluxe limited edition box set, and thanks to Cadiz Music, we've got three copies to give away!
The film includes candid interviews with Malcolm McLaren conducted in Paris and London, previously unseen footage about his childhood, his 1960’s activism, meeting with Vivienne Westwood, their Kings Road shops. It focuses on his key role in the Punk ‘anti-fashion’ and the Sex Pistols and many others, and includes contributions from The Clash, 101ers, Bow Wow Wow, Adam Ant, Boy George, Don Letts, Tony Wilson, Tracey Emin, Stuart Christie, Nick Egan and Westwood herself.
The box set comprises a 2-DVD set featuring the film and a disc of extras including the last ever filmed interview with Malcolm McLaren; a 12-page book with an essay by Barry Cain who interviewed Malcolm many times; a 7" vinyl single featuring a side of Malcolm talking, with music from the film on the other; a postcard signed by film Phil Strongman; a poster and an Anarchy! badge.
To be in with a chance of winning one of three copies of this luxurious box set, just drop an email to info@vivelerock.net with 'Anarchy Film!' in the subject box, with the answer to the following question:
What legendary US band did Malcolm McLaren manage in 1975?
...and we'll pick three winners at random.
Good luck! But if you don't win, the box set is available now, along with other fantastic stuff, from our own Vive Le Shop!
