Seattle supergroup WELLWATER CONSPIRACY are to have their long out of print debut album reissued next month.
Formed in 1993, the band was put together by Monster Magnet's John McBain and Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd from Soundgarden.
Initially released in the summer of '97 on Super Electro, the label of Mudhoney's Steve Turner, Declaration Of Conformity was the trio's homage to the golden age of psych, channelling The 13th Floor Elevators' spaced out garage vibes and featuring covers from Syd Barrett and Japanese hitmakers The Spiders.
God Unknown Records are to make the album available again on fully remastered red splatter vinyl with all new packaging. It's available to pre-order here. There'll also be two bonus download-only tracks - covers of ‘Akka Ragga’ by Indo-jazz fusionist John Mayer, also recorded by Dutch psych-pop legends Shocking Blue, and Syd Barrett's 'Late Night'. Both tracks feature Josh Homme on guitar and bass.
