UNLUCKY FOR SOME!

UNLUCKY FOR SOME!

US country-rockers JENNY DON'T AND THE SPURS are back with a new single and video from their forthcoming new album.

The Blondie-gone-country flavoured 'Unlucky Love' is taken from Broken Hearted Blue, the follow-up to last year's Fire On The Ridge which also saw the Portland, Oregon quartet touring over here to effusive praise, not least from Vive Le Rock!

“I was listening to a lot of Lee Hazlewood while writing this song," Jenny says of the single. "I have always been captivated by his songwriting and how he weaves feelings of nostalgia, despair and hope into his songs. His blend of self-deprecation and romanticism strikes a chord, particularly the universal experience of loving someone who loves another. Despite this reality, we still find ourselves lost in daydreams about them. If these were transformed into a song, this is how I would envision it."

Formed over a decade ago, the band have ploughed a fiercely DIY furrow which has taken them from the bars and punk rock clubs of the Pacific Northwest to the stages of the UK, Europe, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and the Far East.

Produced by Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Collin Hegna, Broken Hearted Blue is the band's first album to feature new drummer Buddy Weeks, following the death of longtime member, former Poison Idea and Wipers drummer Sam Henry in 2022.

Set for release on 14 June on CD, vinyl and download, Broken Hearted Blue is available to pre-order here.
