Aussie slackers TUMBLEWEED celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their classic second album Galactophonic this week with a new expanded deluxe reissue.
Following their release of their debut in 1992 and an intensive period of touring which saw the Wollongong quintet visit the US, Europe and the UK, plus an infamous Australian tour supporting NIRVANA, ‘95’s Galactophonic was their major label breakthrough for Polydor, debuting in the Top 10.
The Source of three classic singles – ‘Gyroscope’, ‘Hang Around’ and ‘Armchair Ride’ – the original thirteen-track album is now expanded to a whopping thirty-four tracks, including single and EP B-sides, live radio sessions and recently rediscovered cassette demos. Available as a double-CD and download, it’s also out on vinyl for the first time ever.
Tumbleweed will be playing Galactophonic in full on a series of Australian dates in August and September, their first since the tragic sudden death of founding bassist Jay Curley last year.
