Hardcore visionary WALTER SCHREIFELS is to curate another TogetherFest in London in February.
Taking place once more at the Electric Ballroom, Camden on 25 February, the event will be headlined by seminal Connecticut band YOUTH OF TODAY with performances from AMERICAN NIGHTMARE, TRASH TALK and WOLF DOWN. Schreifels, a sometime member of Y.O.T. as well as QUICKSAND, GORILLA BISCUITS (who headlined last year's event) and RIVAL SCHOOLS, will also be performing with his current band VANISHING LIFE, who will be making their U.K. debut.
Tickets are available here.
Says Schreifels, “A few years ago I had the thought that I'd like to see a hardcore/punk festival with more variety and a connecting thread to the early inspiration of the movement,” explains Schreifels. “It seems to me that the scene has become sectioned off lately and sadly, more about posture and violence, so TogetherFest was conceived to push the ball in the opposite direction. My inspiration for this series of shows across Europe are Minor Threat, Negative Approach, CRASS, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Maximum Rock ‘n Roll, and the D.I.Y. power that pushed it all forward. Last year Gorilla Biscuits headlined, this year it's Y.O.T. but with my friends at Creative Talent in Germany we've created a very diverse festival. I'm very excited and proud to have Vanishing Life on board as well; these shows are gonna be a blast!”
Vanishing Life's debut album Surveillance is out through Dine Alone Records next week.
