Theatrical rockers THE TUBES have announced a string of UK dates on their 40th Anniversary Tour.
The legendary band – featuring original members Roger Steen, Rick Anderson, Prairie Prince and inimitable frontman Fee Waybill, plus David Medd – are celebrating forty years since the release of their classic eponymous debut, which featured standout tracks ‘White Punks On Dope’, ‘Boy Crazy’ and ‘What Do You Want From Life’.
Formed in San Francisco, The Tubes caused a furore from the off with their outrageous, borderline pornographic stage-shows and their bitingly satirical songs parodying consumerism and politics.

The media uproar on their debut UK tour in 1977 resulted in a series of banned performances, but they returned to headline Knebworth the following year. Since then they’ve grazed the charts a few times with singles such ‘Prime Time’ and ‘She’s A Beauty’.
