Formed in 1977, The Skids supported The Clash before signing to Virgin and releasing a string of hit singles including 'Into The Valley, 'Masquerade' and 'Working For The Yankee Dollar'. They released four increasingly ambitious albums, splintering towards the end, with guitarist Stuart Adamson going on to achieve worldwide success with Big Country, before taking his own life in 2001. The band has reunited for a handful of gigs since 2007.
