KIRK BRANDON is to resurrect his first band THE PACK for a series of dates in the New Year.
The dates will coincide with a vinyl reissue of the band's compilation album Dead Ronin.
Brandon formed the band in 1978 with Canadian brothers Simon and Jonathan Werner and drummer future The Wall and UK Subs drummer Rab Fae Beith, later replaced by PiL's Jim Walker. They released two singles, 'Heathen' and 'King Of Kings', also compiled on an EP, before splitting in 1980, when Brandon formed Theatre Of Hate.
Their recordings were compiled on the CD compilation Dead Ronin for YEAAH! Records.
Released for the first time on vinyl, Dead Ronin will be available as a strictly limited edition on red, yellow, green or black vinyl through Overground from 25 January. It's available to pre-order here.
To coincide, The Pack will be playing the following dates...
Thur 24 Jan – The Dockyard, Portsmouth
Fri 25 Jan – The Exchange, Bristol
Sat 26 Jan – Star & Garter, Manchester
Sun 27 Jan – Underworld, London
Support on all dates comes from DESPERATE MEASURES.
