Vive Le Rock cover stars THE MEFFS are back with a new single, new label and new album.
The Colchester duo have signed to FLG Records and offer up the incendiary title track of their long-awaited second album Business.
Straight-talking as ever, the band state, "In life you're told to be your 'authentic self', but only if your 'authentic self' fits a mould, only if your 'authentic self' is on brand. We're not hard enough but we're not soft enough, we're not queer enough but we're too queer, etc. We're okay with that; we know who we are and we know what we stand for. 'Business' is a love song."
Having spent a hectic year on the road playing shows with the Sex Pistols, The Undertones plus Glastonbury, Download and 2000 Trees, Lily and Lewis have managed to sign a new deal, write eleven new songs cook up a new album with producer Dan Weller (Sonic Boom Six, Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow), fit for the insane times in which we're currently living.
"Business is everything," they state. "It's work, it's war, it's politics, it's our health. Business is angry and ugly, it's vulnerable and it speaks for all of us. I wanted to make an album that pins you to the wall from start to finish, and that's what Business does."
