THE GODFATHERS - FORTY WITH A BULLET!

THE GODFATHERS have announced two new albums and the first of a raft of dates in celebration of their 40th Anniversary year

The band first came together in 1985 out of the ashes of South London mod-punks The Sid Presley Experience, earning a string of indie hits before signing to Epic for the the classic Birth School Work Death album and single.

The past decade has seen the band revitalised, a situation marked by a new compilation album Electric Déjà Vu, drawing tracks from their three most recent albums 2013’s Jukebox Fury, 2017’s A Big Bad Beautiful Noise and 2022’s Alpha Beta Gamma Delta, and set for release in April.

"As The Godfathers reach our 40th Anniversary, I am very proud to report that we still deliver classic albums and perform exciting concerts,” says founder and frontman Peter Coyne.

The band are currently lining up international club and festival shows for the Summer, accompanied by a brand new single, followed by an archive double-live album, with plans for a brand new studio album in 2026.

To start the year, though, they have four UK shows, kicking off with their traditional St Valentine's Day Massacre gig at The Garage in London on 14 February. Full dates are...

Fri 14 Feb - London - The Garage (w/Claytown Troupe) tickets
Sat 15 Feb - Stockton on Tees - The Social Room (w/ Johnny Seven) tickets
Sun 16 Feb - Blackpool - The Waterloo tickets
Mon 17 Feb - Edinburgh - Voodoo Rooms (w/The Primevals) tickets
