Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash are working on a new biopic about the legendary punk band. It is reported to be about the making of the seminal 1979 double album, 'London Calling'. Jones and Simonon will be executive producers and advisers. It is being scripted by award-winning writer Jez Butterworth.
The movie will be titled 'London Calling' and will be made by Ruby Film and Television. Producer Alison Owen said:
"Fans of The Clash have been waiting a long time to see their extraordinary story played out properly on the big screen. We're happy Mick and Paul have the project their blessing."
Filming will start in 2011.
