Aussie tearaways THE CHATS are back, heralding their long-awaited thrid album with a brand new single and video. They've also announced a string of dates in the UK and Ireland for next year.
'Off It' is taken from Half Cut, which is set for release through Virgin Music Group and follows belatedly on from the Sunshine Coast trio's 2022 album Get Fucked.
Recorded at Los Angeles' Maple Sound Studio, the album saw the band working with producer Jay Whalley, frontman with 90s Sydney legends Frenzal Rhomb, but latterly know for his work with C.O.F.F.I.N.
“Half Cut is a fun rock and roll record," says vocalist Eamon Sandwith, "but it's maybe a little more open than stuff we've written in the past. I definitely hesitate to use the word 'mature,' but it's a bit of a progression, I'd say.”
Set for release on 5 March, Half Cut is available to pre-order here.
Following a bout of intense US touring which has seen the band playing alongside the likes of Social Distortion and Descendents, not to mention their first appearance at Coachella, they return to the UK next autumn for shows across the UK and Ireland, including a trio of gigs at London's Electric Ballroom.
