THE BOYS release a new live album this week as a souvenir of their first – almost non-existent – dates in China in January this year. Featuring thirteen Boys classics – including ‘Brickfield Nights’, ‘First Time’ and ‘Terminal Love’, Undercover – Live In China is out on 1 July through Action Records.
The band had been scheduled to play nine dates in China, but arrived to find they’d been cancelled by the Ministry of Culture, who warned that any performances would be shut down immediately. Despite a tip-off that they were being followed, with help from their friends in the country, they were able, through word of mouth, to organise three secret gigs, including one in a rehearsal complex with recording and TV facilities attached, enabling to record this album and make a one-hour documentary. Watch a clip from it here.

The Boys play Rebellion in Blackpool on Saturday 8 August before heading to Scandinavia for dates.
