Legendary Suffolk punks THE ADICTS return with their first new album in five years!
The Ipswich band have hooked up with Arising Empire, the punk offshoot of Nuclear Blast Records, for the release of And It Was So!, which follows on from 2012's All The Young Droogs. The album's heralded by the new single 'Picture The Scene', which is out now.
The band, fronted by charismatic singer Monkey and projecting a Clockwork Orange image, originally formed in 1975, but really came to prominence with the resurgence of punk in 1981 with the release of their debut album Songs Of Praise and subsequent singles 'Chinese Takeaway' and 'Bad Boy'. A major label deal with Sire, a brief name-change to ADX and a dalliance with kids' TV failed to propel them further, but in more recent years, they've become a successful draw in the US and Europe.
And It Was So! is set for release on 17 November and is available to pre-order here.
