Yorkshire punks TFG aka THE FUCKIN' GLORIOUS have a new video out which they're premiering exclusively with Vive Le Rock!
'Staring At The Sun' is the band's second single since the release of their debut album Trite last year. An observation of the current onslaught of fake news and media bias, frontman Beaker says about the song, "This is a song about the general population believing what they read in the media as they have done for years. Not questioning what's printed in the press, what they read online for example and just blindly believing it."
Guitarist Jimbo adds, "We wanted to make a video which not only visions what many of us have now switched on to, but we also wanted to tease and poke at the dark comedy that is the laughable UK media show with an added element of Top Of The Pops and a dancing troupe of twats. How can the working class not realise its all a fucking joke on us?"
The clip is the second of the band's videos to be written and directed by filmmaker Paul Shrimpton. As Jimbo explains, "Shrimp and us lot go back many years as mates from previous bands and projects. He has crazy ideas, as do TFG and we find he understands the direction of the band and working together has been both very creative, close to how I vision the ideas, and a lot fun!"
