Revitalised mod label Well Suspect Records is issuing a compilation of bands from the punkier end of the modernist spectrum.
Dirty Mod - Selected Finds For Filthy Minds features 13 tracks from some of the UK's finest garage rock bands, including a brand new track from Southenders EIGHT ROUNDS RAPID (pictured), plus cuts from THE FALLEN LEAVES, KING MOJO, THE OUTCROWD, THE BEATNIKS, THE GET-GO, THE THIRD DEGREE, THE MONKEY GLAND BLUES BAND and more.
Due for release on Friday 8 July, Dirty Mod available to order on vinyl, CD and download from the Well Suspect website.
Originally established in 1984 by mod maven and Acid Jazz founder Eddie Piller, for the purpose of releasing records by such mod revivalists as PURPLE HEARTS, SMALL HOURS and LONG TALL SHORTY, the Well Suspect label was revived this spring by former DOCTOR & THE MEDICS, BOYS WONDER and CORDUROY bassist Richard Searle, with a mission to release "music inspired by mod, beat and psychedelia."
