STORIES FOR BOYS

Scottish songwriter MARK MULHOLLAND has hooked up with Parisian trip-hop/electro-pop pioneer KID LOCO for a new single celebrating

‘All The Rock'n'Roll Stories”, a celebration of the seamier side of rock'n'roll, follows on from the pair's first unlikely collaboration on Loco's most recent album Concrete Islands, Lies & Vanités, on the track ‘Playing With The Big Boys’ which, subsequently remixed by Mark and  Parisian duo Zaabriskie, was a surprise hit single, having now been streamed hundreds of thousands of times.

A serial collaborator and producer, over more than three decades, Mulholland has gone from busking round Europe with the band Two Dollar Bash and touring with Nikki Sudden, to exploring world music in Haiti, Mali and Mozambique with the likes of Rachid Taha, Damon Albarn and legendary Fela Kouti drummer Tony Allen.

Kid Loco, meanwhile, founded seminal French punk label Bondage Records in 1982, later becoming known as a pioneer of trip-hop in France, and an in-demand remixer for Stereolab, Pulp, Mogwai and many others.

Released through Ports Of Call Music, 'All The Rock'n'Roll Stories' is available to stream/download here.
