Rolling Stones superstars Ronny Wood and Mick Taylor are among the first artists rumoured to have signed up alongside blues rocker Stephen Dale Petit for a one-off benefit gig in support of London's legendary 100 CLUB.
With an official lineup announced later this week, the exclusive December 1st show is expected to be a blowout and should hopefully raise a few valuable quid for the cause.
"The first gig I went to in the UK was Alexis Korner at the 100 Club," reminisces Petit on the subject, "There is no other venue like it on earth - when you walk downstairs it's like entering a magic portal. I always feel honoured to perform there, and this show is going to be extra special."
In similar news, cockney ska collective Buster Shuffle have recently revealed their secret weapon in the war against the 100 Club closure. Available for download at bustershuffle.co.uk, the band's newest song/video acts as a call to arms to the music masses, as lead singer Jet Baker explained:
"The video and track is intended to be a viral that will spread the message, we cannot let The 100 Club go without a fight,"
