Anglo-French garage rock duo THE TROUBLED BONES have just unveiled their first video.
Based in Angoulême, southwest France, The Troubled Bones comprise singer/guitarist/bassist Martin Chamarette and drummer/singer Mickey Gaboriaud who have diligently been hacking away in the studio and now have five songs available on Bandcamp, with another recording session due this summer.
Harnessing the primal power of The Sonics and early Kinks, ‘Set Me Free’ is a tub-thumping r'n'b dancefloor stomper that sounds like it could have been hewn in the prehistoric caves of the nearby Tardoire valley.
“We are old enough to know better, but where’s the fun in that?” they say. “We love playing live, so far the highlight has been supporting The Morlocks at Allez Les Filles in Bordeaux. However, as France essentially closes during the summer, we thought it was time to release a video to keep us amused before the autumn season begins”.
